Functions of the keyboard

Arrow keys: Small steps in 4 directions.
Page up/down: Large steps up/down.
Pos1/End: Large steps left/right.
Ctrl + Pos1: To the upper left corner.
Ctrl + End: To the lower right corner.
+/- : Zoom in/out.
Ctrl + Alt + N: Normal zoom 100 %.
Ctrl + Alt + F: Zoom to fit the Window.
Ctrl + Alt + W: Zoom to fit the width of the window.
Ctrl + Alt + H: Zoom to fit the height of the window.
Ctrl + Alt + Z: Zoom Overview on/off.

 

Functions of the scrollbars

Use scrollbars as usual.

 

Funktions of the mouse

If the treeview is not shown completely, the visible part of the complete graphic can be moved with the mouse. For this grab the graphic not on person boxes or Free Objects but on the free background; the mouse pointer gets the form of an arrow cross or a double arrow there.
Ctrl + Alt and dragging a rectangle: Zoom in the section of the rectangle.

 

Funktions of the mouse wheel

Wheel up/down: Small steps up/down.
Shift + wheel up/down: Large steps up/down.
Ctrl + Wheel up/down: Small steps left/right.
Shift + Ctrl + Wheel up/down: Large steps left/right.
Ctrl + Alt + Wheel up/down: Zoom in/out (4 wheelclicks result in double/half zoom).

 

Search for person in the treeview

Treeview menu, Search for Person in Treeview and Recently Searched Persons in Treeview.
Toolbar, button 'magnifier' and assigned dropdown list with recently searched persons.
Toolbar, buttons and , or shortcuts Alt + Left and Alt + Right: Back and forward in the Selection History (boxes and Free Objects selected before with the left mouse button).
Right mouseclick on duplicate boxes: Function Go to Duplicate (Col...  Row...).
Right mouseclick on boxes with mentioned godparents/witnesses: Function Go to Godparent/Witness (Col...  Row...). Only if references to the record numbers of the godparents/witnesses are used in the personal data.

 

Note:

The keystroke combination Ctrl + Alt is always used for zoom functions.
The Zoom Overview offers also good navigational possibilities. See section Functions of the Zoom Overview.
