List Output Personal Data:

You can select which Personal Data are output in the person boxes here. The output format can also be determined in some cases (date, ancestor numbers, descendant numbers). The order of the data in the list Output Personal Data corresponds to the order in which the data will be output in the person boxes of the graphic.
The various numbers can be output above or below the marriage data. It is not possible to mark both above and below. This setting is only relevant for the spouses on the right, as the marriage data only appears in their person boxes. The option below is unnecessary for descendant numbers, as they never appear together with marriage data; spouses on the right do not have a descendant number because they are not descendants of the primary person.
If the output of all marriage data is deactivated but the partnership status is married or not married, the corresponding symbol is output alone. If this is not wanted, the checkbox suppress single symbols in the Special Format Options, Marriage data, must be marked.
If there are civil and religious marriage data, you can determine to output only the civil or the religious marriage data. If both marriage data are saved, the civil data have priority. The identification as civil or religious marriage data is dropped at this option.
Given names and nicknames can either be output in front or at the end of the line of names. It is not possible to mark both in front and at the end.
Either current/last surname or maiden name must be marked. If both are marked and if both names are saved in the record, the names are output in the form "Surname, born Maiden name".
In the section events, you can determine whether only birth dates or baptism dates should be output. The same is true for death dates or burial dates. If both dates are saved, the first date named has priority.
The reached age of deceased persons or the current age of living persons is calculated from the saved personal data, if possible. For dates of birth, baptism, death and burial, either concrete or calculated dates are used. Persons born after 01/01/1900 for whom no information about death or burial is saved, are considered living; for these living persons the "current" age can be output. Otherwise, the "reached" age can be output. If the day is not available, the middle of the month is used for calculation; if the month is not available, the middle of the year is used.
The attribute data for title, occupation, note and sources can be output above or below the events. It is not possible to mark both above and below.
In the section Notes for data that are not output, the checkboxes Occupation, Note and Sources can be marked to output the notes "Occupation data available" and/or "Note available" and/or "Sources available" if neither of the three output checkboxes (above or below the events) have been marked and text information for an occupation, note or source is saved in the personal data. This is particularly useful for PDF files with integrated card indexes. By clicking on the person box, you can jump to the file card and read the information there. The checkbox Partnerships and children causes a reference to saved partnerships and children to be output that cannot be displayed in the tree structure. For example, this could be used for further partnerships of the partner on the right in descendant trees. The checkbox Parents of partners in descendant trees causes a reference to saved parents of partners on the right, who are not displayed in the structure of descendant trees, to be output.
Duplicate cross-references can be based on absolute column or row numbers, on relative column and row differences, or on ancestor or descendant numbers. The use of absolute column and row numbers is particularly useful if the function Create Column/Row Numbers has been used for the graphic.
Note 1: If column/row numbers exist, the duplicate cross-references in person boxes are not generated using the words column and row, but the prefixes of column and row numbers selected in the Create Column/Row Numbers dialog. |
Note 2: In ancestor trees with brothers and sisters of the fathers and mothers and with output of Sosa-Stradonitz numbers the brothers and sisters of the fathers and mothers do not get any Sosa-Stradonitz numbers because they are not ancestors of the primary person. If in such tree a sibling is a duplicate and the duplicate cross-references shall refer to ancestor numbers, no cross-reference is output for lack of Sosa-Stradonitz number. |
The special format options can be set for ID codes so that leading zeros are not output. Leading zeros in this text field are helpful for sorting, but generally not wanted to be output. This setting is also valid for PDF file cards and bookmarks.
At the marriage data the output of single symbols can be suppressed. If the partnership status is married but no further marriage data are saved, usually only the symbol for married is output; this can be avoided with the checkbox suppress single symbols. This setting is also valid for the symbol for not married at illegitimate partnerships.
An option can be set so that divorce data are output in a separate line from the marriage data. This also causes that a possible divorce does not change the form of the symbol for married. The line with the divorce data then starts with the symbol for divorce (see Box Font tab). If only the status divorced was saved without a date of divorce, only the symbol for divorced is output. The output of the divorce data in a separate line is more clear, however, needs more place.
For given names, you can specify whether all given names or just the preferred given name is to be output. The preferred given name is either the marked >preferred given name< or the first given name. Preferred given names can be highlighted with an underline. However, this is only possible if the checkbox Only >preferred given name< has not been marked.
Nicknames can be output with or without parentheses.
The prefix in can be placed before place names. Event places can be output in a separate line from the date entry. If place entries are arranged in hierarchical order in accordance with the Gedcom standard (such as "Boston, MA, USA") and the hierarchical place levels are separated by commas, the output of place levels can be selected.
The outputs of places of residence and Swiss civil rights municipalities can be made cleared by the additions Place of residence: or Civil rights municipality:.
For multiple lines of attribute texts (occupation, note, sources), you can determine whether line breaks should be observed or omitted to save space. Automatic line breaks due to the width of the person boxes are not affected by this.
For data privacy, either person-based data privacy or generation-based data privacy can be selected. The rules for person-based data privacy are set in the Program Options on the tab Data Privacy. Generation-based data privacy applies to all persons in the youngest generations of the current treeview. Up to four "youngest" generations can be selected. This should be selected so that at least all living persons are included, even if there is a difference in time between various branches in a tree structure. Data privacy ensures that only the names, the relationships, the ancestor/descendant numbers and the ID codes, but no events or attributes of the persons in question are output.
For the date format, the following abbreviations are used: D = day number 1-31, DD = day number 01-31, M = month number 1-13, MM = month number 01-13, MMM = three-letter month abbreviation (such as "Jan"), MMMM = complete month name, YYYY = year number. If a date is displayed in a format with month numbers and no day number is saved, the month will be output as a three-letter abbreviation to avoid misunderstandings. For example, the saved date "??.07.1995" will be output as "Jul 1995" and not as "07.1995".
A particularly compact format for date output can be used for date of birth (or baptism) and date of death (or burial). If the place output for birth, baptism, death and burial has been deactivated, and if the output of cause of death has been deactivated, and if the year format YYYY has been selected, and if the date of birth (or baptism) and the date of death (or burial) have been saved, the lifespan is output in a single line in the form "YYYY - YYYY", for example "1856 - 1941".
Note 3: The date output format set here is also used for exported PDF file cards. |
Ancestor numbers using the Sosa-Stradonitz system or using standard chronicle numbering (Roman generation numbers, ascending or descending, and persons counted from left to right with Arabic numbers or continuous letters) are automatically calculated and output if they have been activated in the listOutput Personal Data. The system and the format of the output can be selected from two dropdown lists. The button Initial Value opens a dialog to enter an initial value (only for Sosa-Stradonitz numbers).
Descendant numbers using the Henry und Aboville systems and their variations or using standard chronicle numbering (Roman generation numbers, ascending or descending, and persons counted from left to right with Arabic numbers throughout the generation) are automatically calculated and output if they have been activated in the list Output Personal Data. The system and the format of the output can be selected from two dropdown lists. The button Initial Value opens a dialog to enter an initial value. Invalid initial values for the selected system are not accepted.
For the output of row numbers in chronicle-style ascendant numbers, chronicle-style descendant numbers and duplicate cross-references to absolute row numbers, a row number offset can be used. This can be used to create row numbers (generation numbers) that match those found in other documents. This can be particularly useful for Partial Trees.
