Constant assignment to certain record numbers is an easy way to use ancillary color schemes.
The record numbers are added to the lists with the Add... buttons and removed with the Remove buttons. To clear the entire list, use the button Remove All.
To be safe, the lists can be automatically cleared if the checkbox Automatically clear list if tree type or primary person is changed is marked. If you would like to retain the contents of the list for other tree types and/or primary persons, remove the mark from this checkbox.
The contents of the lists are not saved if the treeview options are saved in an treeview options file (*.tvo) or as a preset.
Hint: If both ancillary color schemes have the option Constant (certain record numbers) marked, the easiest way to carry out assignments is to right-click on a person box in the treeview. In the menu there, select Use ancillary color scheme 1/2 for and then select this Person, all Persons in this Branch, all Persons in this Column or all Persons in this Row. If the branch is selected, all persons in the branch following the selected person will be assigned the ancillary color scheme, meaning all ancestors in ancestor trees or all descendants in descendant trees. If you want to assign the main color scheme to a person box or a group of person boxes that are currently assigned an ancillary color scheme, this can be done in the same way. All persons that have been assigned an ancillary color scheme in this way are shown in the corresponding list. The lists can also be manually edited with the buttons Add, Remove and Remove All. |
